Hey all,

By far the story that got the most traction this past week initiated from an Oxfam America report that chicken slaughterhouse workers are systematically being denied bathroom breaks, which has caused some employees to wear adult diapers in order to do their jobs. This is degrading, dehumanizing, and totally in line with the meat industry's behavior, which seems to have only deteriorated since the 1906 publication of The Jungle. What we've got is an industry entirely lacking in ethics, that will stoop to any depth in terms of animal cruelty or worker exploitation in order to save a few pennies.

This is likely the week's best article to share on Facebook, since many meat eaters who would ignore animal mistreatment stories will nevertheless be receptive to taking action against worker exploitation.
