Hey all,

This is one of those things that's both totally off-topic and totally not. For the past couple of weeks I've been meaning to tell you about a podcast interview I hope you'll check out. Christopher Ryan is the most engaging conversationalist I know of, and I am hooked on his weekly podcast, "Tangentially Speaking."

Ryan's February 13 episode, with Stephan Schwartz, gets to the heart of everything that's wrong with the USA, as this country continues to circle the drain. But this isn't the standard liberal vs. conservative polarization; it takes an angle that transcends that sort of counterproductive dichotomy. Give this episode a listen and it just may change the way you see the world.

I've since subscribed to Schwartz' free daily newsletter, and I couldn't recommend it more highly.

OK, time to get into this week's news. It's been one of the less eventful weeks of the year, but some good stuff still happened.
